Sunny Valencia

Valencia, es la tierra de las flores, de la luz y del amor. That’s how Spanish people sing about their beautiful city. It is famous lyrics of a popular Spanish song and it means Valencia is the land of flowers, sunlight and love. Well, where do I start? It is the third largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona.When walking around Valencia, visitors can feel the pulse of many centuries in its walls and under the ground. There are so many things to see and visit.

Our hotel was next to the Plaza of Ayuntamiento, where probably everyday life of Valencia, happens. This plaza is full of Historical buildings and it is in the center of the historical part of Valencia. Visiting Valencia in March is your best choice, if you want to attend The Fallas Festival. That’s how Valencia gets ready to welcome spring. Also there are many restaurants and cafe bars around the plaza. I friendly recommend to try paella which is the most famous national dish of the region.

The old city is near The plaza and it’s one of my favorites of Valencia. Walking around feels like you are reviving the history. Nowadays, as well as being the area with most religious and civil monuments and the Nº 1 tourist neighborhood, it’s also buzzing with life. Plaza de la Reina and The Torres de Serano are the most famous monuments of the old city.

Following Turia Gardens, you will find no less than 17 bridges, both old and new, crossing the former riverbed. Hop on Hop Off tour buses are available all day long so you can discover the best of the city, while aboard a double decker bus. Choose between the Monumental and the Maritime Route, or combine them to maximize your experience.

Valencia Train Station or  Estacion del Nord is located conveniently in the heart of the old town, near the town hall. It is next to The plaza de Toros. Outside the ring is a statue of a matador. Alot of people are always taking pictures. If you are in Valencia, this is a must to do a tour of.
